Introducing Isaac

It's a pleasure to introduce you to gorgeous young Isaac. His mum Josie won our spring competition and chose an at-home family photo session with partner Jade. We were lucky to have great weather again that day, after lots of rain and grey days leading up to it. Follow the session story below...

Isaac started sucking on his hand, so daddy pulled it out of the way for a photograph but it sprung right back into his mouth and everybody laughed.. loved capturing that moment!

Naturally, he got hungry at some point as most babies do during sessions. Call me crazy but I miss baby cries... there's something about them. And I've never had any problem with feeding babies (breast or bottle) wherever you are and whenever they need it. I'm asked that a lot and my answer is always - your needs and comfort first. Photos can wait and everyone will be happier afterwards.

Plus, I got to hang out with the cat while he was having lunch!

I love the blanket.. I'm a huge blanket fan, actually. There's always one draped on the back of our sofa, and one more half-made in the knitting box. So when we looked at blanket options for laying him down on the floor I went straight for this crochet flower squares yellow baby blanket - Josie told me it was originally hand made by family for her brother, who was born premature. Loads of love and care in each of those stitches.

Eventually, he drifted off to sleep on daddy's shoulder - who was 'bopping' slightly to music, motion that sends most young ones to sleep fairly well! There's no sweeter sight than new parents utterly besotted with their teeny baby..

So I tiptoed out while they lay him down for a nap.. delighted to have met you all and can't wait for a coffee and catch up soon!
