Grace and Martin's wedding at Pentney Abbey

So here we are, at my first visit to Pentney Abbey. In fact, the first of 3 weddings I was lucky enough to be asked along to at Pentney in 2018. And it was Grace & Martin’s turn to say ‘I do’. Let me take you back in time a little way… It was one of the only cooler days of summer 2018. The morning after the first big thunderstorm of the heatwave, and very windy. (In fact - the continuity experts amongst you will notice the veil goes missing for a while; A gust of wind nearly took it away completely!) The UK’s gardens and fields were off-colour and drying out, England were still ‘coming home’, and this was going to be the wedding when a spontaneous game of football broke out!

I think it’s fair to say that Grace & Martin weren’t that keen on the whole ‘big family wedding’ thing, and would have been perfectly content to find a registry office and marry there without any fuss or fanfare. The important job of planning was left to their thoughtful parents, and Lucy - the wedding co-ordinator at UNV. But (as you’ll see), when it came to it they had the BEST day ever. And I can’t help but smile when I see the pure joy on their faces. Please join me in looking through the best bits of their wonderful wedding day, and wishing Mr & Mrs Robinson many very happy years together!
